About this artwork
For over three decades, I, have poured my soul into the art of abstraction, chasing the elusive dance of colour, texture, and emotion on canvas. Each painting is a chapter in my story, a moment where I wrestle with the chaos of the world and the solitude of my own mind. My latest work, , feels like a culmination of those years—a bold, textured narrative that speaks to both my evolution as an artist and my enduring love for the medium.
I remember… the day I began this piece. My studio in Mumbai was bathed in the soft light of a late afternoon, I stood before the blank canvas, its vast 3x4-foot expanse both daunting and exhilarating. I dipped my brush into a deep, soulful blue, the kind that feels like the ocean at midnight or the sky just before a storm. This painting, is more than just a work of art. It’s a chapter in my story, a testament to the decades I’ve spent learning to listen to the moods of canvas.
« My painting is a kind of art process that answers the philosophical question, who am I? »
