About this artwork
This piece is a completely unique and original abstract fluid acrylic painting on canvas. It is an exercise in fluid painting and is unique in the emergence of texture from a surface painting and the 1.5 inch deep gallery wrap canvas. This piece is stunning in its soft, fluid movement and glows with brilliant tones of deep reds and greens, white, yellow and orange. The painting has a beautiful, fiery energy as cells and what appear to be flames emerge… and spark all over the surface. I had in mind the demolition of the rain forests for the purpose of increasing animal agriculture or urban sprawl, as well as the increasing wildfires that are chewing up the country and planet as we speak. It is a piece of energetic movement, vibrant color and a deeper message. It is intriguing to look at from all angles. It is the 161st in my series of abstract acrylic works.

Preston M. Smith is an exciting American painter whose works have been widely exhibited across the United States. Interested in construction and deconstruction, and always seeking to work in a state of pure emotion, he composes striking abstract paintings and inventive portraits that reflect order in chaos, beauty in madness.
