The third painting in a series that tackles the beauty of the planet in which we live, and all of the problems that are facing it and our survival. However, they are depicted in such an abstract way with cool, beautiful colors, that the mood of these pieces are peaceful and serene. It is a wonderful juxtaposition of theme and emotional effect. This particular painting is the largest of the three and you can almost get lost in all of the broad sweeping… texture, colors and waves. The title was inspired by the Led Zeppelin song and the tragedy that occurred in New Orleans, but now has more relevance than ever with all of the recent hurricanes and floods slamming the United States. Perhaps this piece will inspire viewers to ponder and meditate on some deeper realities, while enjoying the beauty and serene colors and texture of the painting.
Note: In line with the theme of this piece, this painting is painted on heavy reclaimed and recycled wood.
