About this artwork
A burst of color in the middle of stillness, Balancing the Unseen, captures the search we all go through to find calm in life’s noise. I used acrylic and oil on matt board, letting the colors fight and blend at the same time. The reds and oranges carry the heat and movement, while the softer tones open up space to breathe. It’s about that back-and-forth between tension and stillness, and how both are part of the same journey.

Qais Al Sindy is an Iraqi-American multi-media artist versed in painting, installation, video, conceptual and performance art. His multi-cultural background directly involved the analytical vision of his work. In his paintings, Al Sindy explores how people connect to each other across divides of belief, both political and spiritual. He hopes his art will enable people share their unique experiences, opening new avenue to consolidate concepts of peace, hope and love.
