About this artwork
living presence that inhales history, endurance, and silent struggle. The horse exists here between weight and flight, suspended between earth and sky, fragmented yet intensely alive.
Through expressive, gestural brushstrokes and a shifting palette of blues, whites, blacks, and sudden reds, the form appears and dissolves simultaneously. The red areas pulse like an inner fire, suggesting fatigue, sacrifice, and persistence, while the surrounding… cool tones evoke wind, distance, and open horizons. The horse seems to move endlessly, as if drinking the winds that confront it, absorbing their force rather than resisting it.
In this work, I reflect on the horse as humanity’s eternal companion—bearing labor, memory, and unspoken emotion. The surface retains traces of urgency and tenderness, allowing the viewer to sense breath, muscle, and motion beyond literal representation.

Qais Al Sindy is an Iraqi-American multi-media artist versed in painting, installation, video, conceptual and performance art. His multi-cultural background directly involved the analytical vision of his work. In his paintings, Al Sindy explores how people connect to each other across divides of belief, both political and spiritual. He hopes his art will enable people share their unique experiences, opening new avenue to consolidate concepts of peace, hope and love.
