About this artwork
From the series: Black, White or Gray
Oil on Canvas, 2017 – Qais Al-Sindy
In this work, motion becomes memory, and contrast becomes confession.
The horses — those eternal “drinkers of the wind” — surge through a storm of black, white, and gray, where form dissolves into spirit. Their bodies are not painted but remembered in movement, their strength echoing the turbulence of existence itself.
Here, black is not darkness, nor white purity, nor gray… neutrality; they are the shifting tones of human struggle — pride, resistance, and surrender.
Between them gallops the breath of life, untamed, unseen, yet always present, whispering that even in abstraction, the soul of the horse remains the mirror of our own.

« I see my artworks, in general, as revealing the shutter of the outside world, and helping people to feel and share what is going on in their lives, in any part of this world. »
