About this artwork

The heart of autumn is the golden sunshine, the gentle breeze, the scent of milk flowers, love and nostalgia, the season of falling leaves brings with it so many nostalgias. The autumn road still quietly changes its new clothes, the sunshine is still golden, the birds still sing in the sky. Only my love and autumn remain.
In this piece, I've amalgamated abstraction with impressions of urban vibrancy, capturing the essence of a city transcending the… traditional confines of structure and form. My use of oil paints allows for rich, textured layers, mirroring the complex depth of city life. The interplay of light and shadows, conveyed through bold strokes and a dynamic palette, invokes sentiments of hope amidst chaos, aiming to evoke a reflective response from the viewer. This painting not only explores urban aesthetics but also the interactions of light, texture, and emotion. It will invigorate any room with its energetic and thoughtful presence.

Quan Le is an artist based in Vietnam whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. He is currently living and working in Hanoi. For nearly eighteen years of oil painting, he paints what his heart can feel, not what eyes can see. Most of them are in an exciting impressionist style, with a blend of cubism, expressionism and semi-abstract contemporary. The themes of landscapes, architecture and urban areas are simpliﬁed to a certain extent, leaving most of it for memory. For him, painting is when he digs up the chaotic and fragmented memories of his poor, rugged and destitute childhood to bring the viewers to another joyful world, a neverland, a memory of the season far away.
