About this artwork

In the coming season, the morning dew melts away, the morning sun rays pass through the leaves, making the space glow with a bright green color. Perhaps this season, the most favorite is cycling under the old trees on Phan Dinh Phung Street. Each ray of sunlight through the canopy of leaves creates beautiful "ray" of light. Therefore, this season's street has no shortage of photographers. They are passionate about hunting for beautiful moments of… Hanoi. The paparazzi whisper to each other, autumn does not need to go anywhere, because Hanoi alone is already a treasure trove of valuable documents. The sun is golden like pouring honey, the sky is as clear as the eyes of a child. Sword Lake is as green as ever, the mirror is as flat as the heart. The autumn sun also makes the trees change color more brilliant. The cold rice trees simultaneously turned to a characteristic yellow color, the banyan trees and maple trees on the street also started to yellow, the autumn colors of the tropics.

Quan Le is an artist based in Vietnam whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. He is currently living and working in Hanoi. For nearly eighteen years of oil painting, he paints what his heart can feel, not what eyes can see. Most of them are in an exciting impressionist style, with a blend of cubism, expressionism and semi-abstract contemporary. The themes of landscapes, architecture and urban areas are simpliﬁed to a certain extent, leaving most of it for memory. For him, painting is when he digs up the chaotic and fragmented memories of his poor, rugged and destitute childhood to bring the viewers to another joyful world, a neverland, a memory of the season far away.
