About this artwork
Everyone has a place to miss, a homeland to return to. Me too. For me, the small town has always been in the subconscious, a place that has been attached since childhood, full of memories, where the first love is kept, the naive and foolish love that cannot be obtained. Wherever it fades, it's where I want to return.
I am secretly grateful for those days, because thanks to those days, I now have a lot of good memories. It was a beautiful past, the… days of going to school were poor and hard, and in a lifetime, there was no bicycle to ride. My town is very small, the houses are close together, when I go to school I often go against the wind. Climbing up the long slope in the distance, taking in the eyes of a large space. In the 12th grade of high school, when I met you, touched the eyes of the whole sky of love, I did not dare to approach you, then left forever. Soledad's melody is like a flood of old memories

Quan Le is an artist based in Vietnam whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. He is currently living and working in Hanoi. For nearly eighteen years of oil painting, he paints what his heart can feel, not what eyes can see. Most of them are in an exciting impressionist style, with a blend of cubism, expressionism and semi-abstract contemporary. The themes of landscapes, architecture and urban areas are simplified to a certain extent, leaving most of it for memory. For him, painting is when he digs up the chaotic and fragmented memories of his poor, rugged and destitute childhood to bring the viewers to another joyful world, a neverland, a memory of the season far away.
