Green zone
My city in isolated days, the Covid 19 pandemic devastated the city, freezing all trade and travel activities. The whole city is struggling with the epidemic, people are not allowed to go out without relevant documents. The atmosphere was tense and thick, everyone had to stay indoors for more than a month without going out. Then the Green Zone started to appear, it was the residential areas that had been tested for Covid 19 or had been… vaccinated against covid, where life was safe, they set up barricades, checked everyone in and out, expelled the undocumented people like the Walking Dead. I never imagined that a zombie movie script would appear in real life like this. They cannot tell who is carrying the disease or who is safe. People are really panicking ... A long, horrible summer that doesn't know when will end the series of dark days because of the rampant Covid epidemic.

Quan Le is an artist based in Vietnam whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. He is currently living and working in Hanoi. For nearly eighteen years of oil painting, he paints what his heart can feel, not what eyes can see. Most of them are in an exciting impressionist style, with a blend of cubism, expressionism and semi-abstract contemporary. The themes of landscapes, architecture and urban areas are simplified to a certain extent, leaving most of it for memory. For him, painting is when he digs up the chaotic and fragmented memories of his poor, rugged and destitute childhood to bring the viewers to another joyful world, a neverland, a memory of the season far away.
