About this artwork
I started a series on the world of music with the Beatles. I subsequently turned to artists like Charles AZNAVOUR, a singer-songwriter a little further from my favorite musical universe. It attracted me mainly for biographical reasons.
This painting was created thanks to a photo, published in the press of the time, in which “Grand Charles” still had his real nose.
To the (absolute?) ear and (recomposed!) nose of the composer, I modestly added… my eye!

Rémi Jouandet is an award-winning artist based in France whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally, as well as in Canada and England. Over the past few years, his artistic expression has contentrated almost exluslively on the human figure. Jouandet creates intuitively and spontaneously, "spreading" color on several canvases in rapid succesion, returning later to "discover them", then adding the figurative elements. He primarily employs acrylics on canvas.
