About this artwork
I started with a black and white portrait. I chose Clark GABLE, but I could have chosen anyone. The initial idea was that there was none. I wasn't looking for a resemblance. In the end I found myself faced with a double face. A rather electric part that surprised me at first and that I kept.

Rémi Jouandet is an award-winning artist based in France whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally, as well as in Canada and England. Over the past few years, his artistic expression has contentrated almost exluslively on the human figure. Jouandet creates intuitively and spontaneously, "spreading" color on several canvases in rapid succesion, returning later to "discover them", then adding the figurative elements. He primarily employs acrylics on canvas.
