About this artwork
Out of Place 001 uses surreal displacement as a metaphor for emotional isolation and fragility.
By placing a vibrant betta fish within a barren, drought-like landscape, the painting reflects on themes of survival, displacement, and the tension between beauty and environmental collapse.
The work explores what it means to exist in spaces where one no longer belongs, both physically and psychologically.
This is an oil painting on canvas.
