About this artwork
This painting is about the famous Russian novel: The Master and Margarita. It's one of the fastest paintings I ever did. It felt like true possession as those two characters formed on the canvas. If you are familiar with the book - you'll recognize them (sort of) - if you're not, then read it!
Raised in a lineage of successful artists, Raindog is a seasoned English painter and digital artist, and sound designer. Utilizing a variety of acrylics, crayons, photography and mixed medium, Raindog’s work straddles the line between abstraction and tangible reality, constantly pushing boundaries. Through his creations, he imparts emotions of discovery and mysticism, inspired by his exploration of physics, philosophy, and spirituality. His paintings are often accompanied, or at least inspire his musical and sound compositions.
