About this artwork

The image of Marilyn has always attracted me, since childhood.
And finally I decided to approach Marilyn!
I decided to write her image on paper in the style of POP ART.
She is like a spirit on a pedestal over the City.
I hope I will continue to draw Marilyn!
In my artwork, I've captured the spirit of whimsy and bold expression, mingling the vivid abstract and pop art styles. Through vibrant acrylics and delicate oil textures, I depict an iconic figure… dancing over a colorful cityscape, symbolizing the transcendence of cultural icons over the mundane. This portrayal invites onlookers into a world where fantasy and reality coalesce, adding a bursting energy and a dynamic conversation piece to any living space.

Born into a distinguished artistic dynasty in 1954, Rakhmet Redzhepov’s journey is a masterclass in the evolution of contemporary impressionism. Having refined his craft under the mentorship of his father, the artist Juma, and through rigorous academic training in Theater and Decoration, Rakhmet developed a unique visual language that bridges the vibrant energy of the East with the sophisticated atmosphere of Northern Europe.

With a prolific career spanning over five decades, Rakhmet has produced more than 5,000 works that now reside in private collections worldwide. From his early days in animation at 'Turkmenfilm' to teaching masterclasses in Finland, his path eventually led him to the historic shores of Riga. Recently honored at the International Biennale 'MARINA 2021', Rakhmet continues to redefine the maritime and urban landscape, using his signature 'vibrating light' technique to capture the fleeting soul of the world.
