In my abstract oil paintings I played with contrast and movement. The powerful, sweeping brushstrokes in deep black stand out vividly against the white background. Ralph Slowik is an artist based in Germany whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally. Since he believes that "everything in nature is energy", he endeavors to portray this energy visually and tangibly. Consequently, Slowik developed an artistic technique, through which he makes impulsive and dynamic traces of movement, where the energy of the painting process is documented and radiates energy, power, and tension.
