Randy Steinke discovered his passion for painting during his college years through courses in painting and art history. Since then, he has painted intermittently, but various life circumstances eventually guided him back to painting, which he now embraces as a full-time profession. Randy’s work is deeply rooted in figurative expressionism, characterized by bold, vibrant colors and figurative subjects. He employs shapes and forms to create compelling, cohesive compositions that capture both emotion and energy. In his artistic practice, Randy draws significant influence from the portrait drawings and paintings of Henri Matisse, particularly in his exploration of composition, color, and complex backgrounds. Moving forward, Randy is focused on refining his techniques in his paintings, seeking to elevate the details of these elements.
