About this artwork
The first version of "Big Bang" was created in 2004. My subject was the particles, light, and colors that emerged from the singularity. I adopted the concept of the Big Bang as the starting point from which everything originates. Unfortunately, this piece was destroyed by a hurricane.
This version, consisting of an oak core and branch sections of various other woods, is also designed for outdoor use. It stands on a stainless steel column approximately… 40 cm above the ground.
I haven't yet had the opportunity to mount the heavy object on the column. Photos of the completed, mounted work in situ will follow shortly.
