About this artwork
Inspired by Virgil’s idea that immortality is achieved by journeying to the stars, in this painting I am depicting two disembodied figures suspended between earth and cosmos. Untethered from gravity and certainty, they turn toward one another as they ascend—embracing connection as much as transcendence.
The figures occupy an in-between state: neither grounded nor fully celestial, neither separate nor merged. Their leap into the unknown becomes an… allegory for all forms of passage—spiritual, emotional, and intellectual—where meaning is discovered not in arrival, but in the act of becoming.
