About this artwork
In “The White City – Starry Night”, I wanted to blend the quiet of its cave villages with the poetic intensity of the night sky.
The tower rises like a bridge between the earth and infinity, while the moon and stars—inspired by Van Gogh's sky—seem to breathe with the city. The houses, compact and luminous, emerge from a suspended landscape, while above them swirl lines and stars, evoking an inner, spiritual movement. With a palette dominated by… white, ochre, and gray, the painting conveys a sense of purity and introspection. The use of contrasts and black lines reveals a personal language somewhere between symbolism and expressionism, where every mark becomes emotion. It is a work that invites you to pause, observe, and be transported by the silent dialogue between earth and sky.
This painting will bring a wonderful harmony and a touch of mystery to your home.
I'm a self-taught painter, and what sets me apart is my free and instinctive use of color, which in my work is layered to create dense textures and crowded urban landscapes. I began with more spontaneous and light-hearted works, then evolved towards a more conscious and critical approach. At the same time, I explore abstraction with works inspired by Pollock and Rothko. My Cities are born from abstract foundations. The City as a complex organism that reflects the contradictions of our time. My series explore three great fragilities: the vulnerability of cities to climate change, the wounds inflicted by man through wars and manipulated ideologies, and the inequalities between glittering centers and forgotten peripheries. I paint universal, non-geographic cities as a metaphor for the human condition: places that bear the hopes, scars, and tensions of our time.
