In this tribute to the singer and pianist Michel Polnareff, I seek to express the essence of his music and iconic style through simple, elegant objects—in this case, glasses and a piano. These elements are not merely objects, but symbols of creativity and personal expression. Each ink stroke conveys dynamism and emotion, inviting each viewer to experience their own connection to art and music. This drawing resonates with the potential to transform… a space with its bold artistic energy and abstract interpretation.
Richard Boigeol, born in 1959 in Provence, is a French artist whose artistic journey reflects a mixture of influences and his deep history. Passionate about drawing from a young age, he took his first lessons at the age of 7, he traveled to Italy and learned academic drawing in museums with a group of students under the benevolent supervision of their teacher, where they met their first audience. During initiatory trips to Italy, Richard also studied art history. His narrative work is characterized by an approach based on observation, symbolism, and graphic ideas, sometimes recalling ideograms. Humor and the bright colors of optimism permeate his creations, which can be embellished with allegories, advertising ideas or wordplay. In addition to his pictorial works, Richard applies his associations of ideas in the manufacture of objects.
