"Poppies" is a plein-air painting completed during summer in Little Compton, RI.
The coloration derives from my "home base" raw sienna palette, developed as a series of works as a respite from red blue green.
This painting bursts with vibrant energy and emotional intensity, capturing the chaotic beauty of life’s moments. Using acrylics, I layered warm hues with bold, fluid strokes to ignite passion and movement. It invites you to feel the dynamic… rhythm and expressive freedom, bringing warmth and inspiration to any space where it lives.
