About this artwork
"September Eclipse" is one of several serial canvases painted on seeing a night full solar eclipse on Nantucket Island.
The eclipse created a forever memory that I have attempted to recall in art form as an abstract painting.
In the painting, the moon fades in an out with the yellow orange horizon like hold the canvas in suspension.
Faint violet crimson strokes at upper right line create movement across the canvas.
The painting is mysterious… and all consuming as an image.
