About this artwork
"Whiteout" is an abstract painting derived from an early work in my painting career that I had mistakenly destroyed.
The canvas is reproduced from a small photograph from the archives that I cherished for years.
Recently I decided to rework this painting and return it to life.
"Whiteout" has subtle coloration, movement, space relationships, and compositional care in rendering.
This is a fine abstract painting intended as a prize canvas in any… noted collection.
« Fight through the storm. The sun will surely appear in radiance. »
Richard Kattman is an award-winning artist based in the United States whose paintings have been exhibited both nationally and in Italy. He describes his art as being primarily focused on pure abstraction as a concept. In addition, Kattman's compositions are also influenced by his lifelong appreciation of the environment, with a professional background as a landscape architect. He most often creates in series, which are individually connected over long periods of time.
