About this artwork
In this work, I capture the intense connection between humans and animals—an expression full of trust and tender closeness. I capture Frida Kahlo, depicted here with a black cat, in her character as a strong, independent woman—which is also the essence of a cat. A technique I developed on acrylic glass, with oil on the front and acrylic spray on the back, conveys a sense of depth with a 3D effect.
