During my visit to Crete, I found solace sitting near the sea on the cliffs, enthralled by the vibrant colors, the rhythmic sounds, and the refreshing scent of the sea. The movement of the waves captivated me, and I felt compelled to capture this mesmerizing experience on canvas.
In creating this painting, I sought to encapsulate the visceral essence of the sea—its undulating rhythms and shifting hues of blues and whites beneath a dynamic sky. Drawing… inspiration from expressionism, impressionism, and realism, I blended these styles to evoke both the ocean's tumultuous energy and its serene vastness. This work invites viewers to feel the ocean's spray and hear its roar, offering a slice of nature's majesty that enlivens any space with its vibrant energy and soothing calm.
