About this artwork
"Urban Mesh", part of the Ritmos Supensos series, is an exercise in urban experiences, where the pictorial entity of the work itself approaches the sculptural entity.
I recorded the apparent balance of the geometric constructions, all vibrating to the rhythm given to them by the color. Color, which vibrates an external volumetry in which a balanced visual graphics is drawn;
An energetic rhythm provoked by the stains of the bars on the windows, reinforced… by the gigantic buildings, the urban system in which we live, the buildings that look like boxes, all clustered together, the windows with reduced views interspersed with bars of different colors and sizes, a sense of caging, all with a rhythmic density. In Macau you can feel this very much, the reduced space, its disorganized urbanism, its distance between an integrated urban planning and the existence of two cities within the same city.
