About this artwork
The artwork was a part of an exclusive series called 'semiconfident' exhibited in the spring 2025 in Klaster gallery in Brno, Czech Republic. The artwork has a copper-brown-red visual dominant motive, which in the artists work symbolises powerful forces such as innes strength, motivation, confidence. Something he says he doesn't always feels he has. The name came from the Maya Angelous famous poem Still I rise, also quite provocative, confident… piece. Just like this poem, the artist creates a stronger ground for himself with this painting, hoping it will bring more joy and confidence to its audience as well.
Robin Blazek is a painter and visual artist with a background in social education and a self-taught mastery of acrylics. His technique involves building up layers of paint with custom-cut foam sponges, creating foggy, space-like surfaces that he describes as “sentimental impressionism.” He draws inspiration from psychological themes and human vulnerability, embedding handwritten notes and poetic titles to evoke conversation. His works radiate calm, hope, and connection, gently inviting viewers into an emotional dialogue about introspection and the complexity of the human experience in a digital age.
