About this artwork
Carolann (december 2013) is one of the strong piece of the serie. As your brain first interpret the portrait and the face of the subject it is almost impossible to see the body at first glance. yet when we are able to read the body, we were so much taken by the 'presence' of the face that we cannot separate the body from the person that is portraited.

« I switched from science to art to make people dream. I love to make reality look surreal in order to challenge the mind and be more open to the world around us. »
Robin Cerutti is a prize-winning photographer based in Canada whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Mexico, France, Belgium, and the United States. He employs photography as a medium to escape and challenge the first perception of reality. While Cerutti does not convey any outright theories in his art, his credits his physicist background as playing a major role in his artistic expression. His goal is reached is his compositions cause a "dreamy state" in viewers.
