About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture feminine delicacy and strength using watercolor to give life and fluidity to the body. I felt that the contrast between shadows and light revealed an intimate and serene emotion, while the vibrant background adds energy and movement. My intention is that this piece inspires viewers to connect with the natural beauty and depth of human expression.
Through watercolor I explore memory, childhood that still dwells within us and that which remains in the human experience.
I am an artist from Seville and I work mainly with watercolor on paper.
My practice focuses on portraiture and the human figure within contemporary watercolor, exploring the relationship between color, atmosphere, gesture, and presence.
The childhood that still inhabits us and that which remains articulate the line of research that I develop in my recent large format watercolor works.
