This diptych explores movement, emotion, and dissolution within the artist's ongoing Umbrella series. The two works are in close dialogue with each other and only unfold their full effect when viewed together.
The female figures emerge from gestural, sometimes flowing layers of color on a reduced, structured background. Dripping lines evoke rain and simultaneously fragment the form. While one part of the composition appears more structured and… legible, the other increasingly dissolves into abstraction. This tension creates a dynamic balance between control and dissolution.
