About this artwork
My work fuses acrylic and oil pastel in a wild dance of colors and shapes. Inspired by comics and semi-abstract art, it depicts a dramatic, almost apocalyptic scene in which a lone rider on horseback holds his own against the overwhelming elements. The rich reds of the sky contrast sharply with the chaotic earth below, emphasizing the inner and outer turmoil. This painting brings a touch of energy and dynamism to any space, a constant expression…
of struggle and perseverance.
Roland (Rolany) Schmidt-Cornehl
Germany
Roland Schmidt-Cornehl aka Rolany is an artist who uses acrylic on canvas, with an initial preference for colorful clocks. He paints his artworks very colorfully and in several layers. The colors are applied with a squeegee, mixed and partially scraped off again at the same time. Layers of colors break open, the lower surfaces shine through, which gives the picture a pronounced depth structure. In addition, there is the technique of figurative representation, which is primarily about color and the style of presentation. In each picture he hides a story based on personal experiences, a subliminal emotion that challenges viewers to find their own story.
