About this artwork
At Certain Time captures the fleeting yet profound significance of a singular moment. Through the decisiveness of each stroke, I sought to express the unrepeatable nature of specific points in time — those brief instances when emotion, memory, and instinct converge.
Working with acrylic paint allowed me to build layers and textures that reflect the rawness and immediacy of that experience. The physicality of the medium mirrors my own intuitive process… — gestures made without hesitation, guided more by sensation than intention. In this way, the painting becomes both a record of motion and emotion, as well as a meditation on presence.
This piece carries with it a bold, thought-provoking energy. Its layered surface invites quiet reflection, while its gestural power creates a commanding visual presence. My hope is that the work resonates emotionally with the viewer, stirring contemplation and offering space for their own inner narrative to unfold.

I have been drawn to painting since childhood. For various reasons, I took different career paths that still, in their own way, guided me toward art. For many years, I was on the side of those who work with art professionally, but not among those who create it.
After the Velvet Revolution, in 1992, I founded a successful international photo bank. Yet something was still missing in my life - until about 15 years ago, when I began my artistic journey.
Not wanting to be limited by a lack of formal education, I attended seminars at Art Schools in Prague, as well as Sumie and calligraphy organised by the Japanese Culture Association. The philosophy and aesthetics of Eastern painting have ultimately had the strongest influence on my practice and continue to form the foundation of my work today.
In 2022, I decided to fully dedicate myself to an artistic career, and today, painting is an integral part of my life.
