About this artwork
In all the works, the canvas preparation process is done by hand by the artist herself to create a richer texture. It was made with very thick burlap. In this piece, I wanted to capture the delicacy and freshness of lilacs, playing with light and texture to convey serenity and life. The contrast between the old mortar and the flowers symbolizes the union of tradition and nature. When you place it in your space, you will feel a welcoming and calming… energy, like a small haven of beauty and peace in your daily life.
Her training is marked by an outstanding career at the School of Applied Arts and Artistic Crafts in Madrid, where she delved into techniques of watercolor, oil, pastel, and glazed ceramics. She masters figurative impressionism, employing strong, impasto brushstrokes and bold lines that bring dynamism to landscapes, portraits, still lifes, and floral subjects. Her works convey the authenticity of the handmade and a passion for nature, enveloping the viewer in intense and sincere emotions.
