About this artwork
A simple still life painting of a cup of tea and a tea bag leaving a stain on a napkin. Geometric shapes play an important part in this little arrangement which was shown at the Royal Institute of Oil Painters exhibition, London 2019, and at Artexpo New York 2022.

Rosemary Burn, a painter based in the UK, has exhibited her works in Italy, Germany, the United States, and the United Kingdom. She approaches her artistic process with a sense of mindfulness, concerning herself with the objective examination of the present, as well as from an emotional perspective. Burns' works are inspired by the people and objects that leave an impression upon her everyday life. Oscillating between impressionist and 'almost realist', her compositions are created using oil paints on synthetic board.
