About this artwork
Oriental Poppies are of indescribable beauty, fleeting, fragile, intensely colored in red, of different shades or dressed in translucent petals, of pale pink, with black hearts that pulsate between purple stamens with blue reflections. Their supple and fragile bodies rise proudly on the canvas of the sky and wave their cheerful petals until sunset, when only the beads full of pollen will remain on the tall stem. The scene is inspired by my garden…
and beautified by imagination.

Roxana Soos is an experienced artist whose work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions internationally. Passionate about art ever since she was a kid, Soos developed her current practice painting large abstract landscapes and floral works. In an impressionist style, she favors bright color palettes of pinks, purples, and blues, and aims to convey poetic scenarios and emotion through each piece.
