About this artwork
This is an image for a poem by my friend Laura. We're working on a series together called "So far and yet so near." My friend lives in the US, and I live in Europe. Since we can't see each other due to her health, we communicate through our respective artistic styles: she writes poems, and I paint pictures to go with them. The depiction of flowers, birch trees, and an archaic statue demonstrates people's love of gardens throughout history. A timeless…
love and arguably the most beautiful connection between humanity and nature.

« I wish to use space to suggest time. In my explorations in 2D and 3D, I want to capture time as the 4th dimension. »
Roxane Legenstein's distinctive works explore how the structures in and around us restrict and define our perception of reality. In her artistic practice, she relays narratives through the use of a variety of materials, reflecting a certain timelessness of nature and its forms through colors. However, Legenstein describes her techniques as being more coventional in nature.
