About this artwork
This work is a pure concentrate of colorful fragments: cereals, comics, drinks, clothes, all cut from ultra-pop 70s ads. It's an overdose of style, a deliberate excess, an ironic celebration of consumerist imagery. I tore these pieces of clichés from old advertisements to reconstruct them in a work that explodes the codes. Each image becomes a symbol to be diverted. The superposition of messages creates a graphic tension between the idealized past…
and the deconstructed present. This work is part of a triptych but can also be acquired on its own.
