About this artwork
The speed of the character Road Runner is the main inspiration for this piece. Cartoons playing on television always show a series of lines to give the effect of speed. He is always on the run going as fast as he can, stopping suddenly, lifting a cloud of dust and dirt. Being fascinated as a child with his speed, I wanted to create a painting that could portray that sense of speed and chaos he causes. The Road Runner runs so fast that is almost as…
