About this artwork
I created this work as an exploration of movement, intensity, and inner force. Using airbrush and layered acrylic, I focused on capturing motion not as a frozen moment, but as something alive — flowing through the body and extending beyond the frame.
The horse emerges through soft gradients and sweeping transitions, its form shaped by wind and heat rather than strict outline. Shifts between light and shadow suggest both power and vulnerability,… emphasizing instinct, momentum, and emotional energy over realism.
The imagery draws quiet influence from the symbolism of the Fire Horse in the Lunar New Year — associated with strength, momentum, and transformation — kept intentionally subtle to allow intuitive connection rather than overt narrative.
The layered surface preserves traces of movement and atmosphere, reinforcing the sense of speed, force, and presence within the composition.
Ryan Beal is a contemporary visual artist whose background in fine arts entrepreneurship and aviation deeply informs his work. He primarily works with acrylics and mixed media creating layered atmospheric compositions that explore presence movement and emotional depth. His intuitive process allows each piece to evolve organically guided by feeling rather than rigid structure.
Ryan’s artistic philosophy centers on mindfulness and the power of the present moment. He describes his approach as "wild reverence" the balance between calm and energy stillness and motion. Through texture light and subtle movement his work invites viewers to slow down breathe and reconnect with themselves.
As a business owner student pilot and father Ryan draws constant inspiration from lived experience shared moments with his family and the shifting perspectives found in both flight and everyday life. His art is not meant to be simply observed but felt offering a quiet space for reflection and connection.
