About this artwork
The painting “Let it happen” is inspired by the song of the same name by the Australian band ‘Tame Impala’.
This song has given me a lot of energy for years, but it also has a calming effect on me. Despite a certain melancholy, it sounds like sunset – but also like the beginning of spring.
In this painting, I captured a profound mood with acrylics, a feeling that hovers between tranquility and tension. The vibrant colors symbolize hope and transformation,… while the cool tones exude a calming power. I wanted to create an atmosphere that fills any room with vibrant energy and, at the same time, inner peace. It invites you to let go and consciously experience the moment.
"WHAT DOES MUSIC LOOK LIKE? SINCE I PERCEIVE TONES AND SOUNDS AS COLORS AND SHAPES, I DRAW INSPIRATION FOR MY PAINTINGS FROM THEM."
Sabina Bogus incorporates her professional training as a violinist into her artistic practice as a painter. She uses vibrant, synesthetically inspired colors to translate the emotions of musical pieces onto the canvas. Her works invite viewers to experience music visually, taking them on imaginative journeys of fantasy that touch and inspire.
