About this artwork
In this painting, curved, earthy green areas spread out against a delicate, pastel-pink background, reminiscent of gently rolling fields in the first morning light. I painted the lower sections of the image in rich, mossy green tones, creating a dense texture with visible palette knife strokes and a thick paint mix. The green areas rise in sweeping arches, as if the fields were floating in the morning mist.
Fine swaths of light blue and creamy white… flash here and there, almost like wisps of mist settling over the meadows. Dispersed among them are individual, almost sketchy dots and threads of warm rust brown and pale dusky pink, reminiscent of the first blossoms or delicate stalks emerging from the moist earth. These color accents are intended to lend the image a certain lightness, allowing the eye to wander repeatedly between foreground and background.
The picture has dark green edges and can be hung directly.
