About this artwork
The paintings from the Physis III series are the largest and most elaborate series I have been working on for approximately 13 years. I layer, scratch, and apply oil paints in numerous coats, creating abstract, informal works reminiscent of landscapes and eroded soils. Many of these paintings require a year to dry.
