About this artwork
I see this palm tree as a symbol of resilience, of long summers and open skies. I'm not aiming for realism; I want to express the intensity with which we remember, using pink and red tones.
With the turquoise background I want to evoke the clean air, the breeze, the horizon that seemed infinite in my childhood, the palm tree stands firm, like that part of us that remains, even when everything changes.
