About this artwork
"The Balancing Act" is just as much about balancing the composition as it is about balance in life, especially in the creative process. Painted in layered stages, it weaves together geometric forms, soft curves, and bold color contrasts into something both structured and spontaneous. This work reflects the inner dance I often face as an artist: knowing when to keep going, when to stop, and how to hold space for both discipline and flow. The color…
palette is a vibrant mix of deep blues, warm oranges, and soft purples. Each was chosen to create contrast while still feeling connected.
The piece draws on my continued fascination of geometric abstraction with hints of Cubism, where broken forms and layered shapes suggest movement and hidden connections.

Samantha Malone is a contemporary abstract artist originally from Australia's beautiful east coast, currently residing in Tel Aviv, Israel with her family.
