About this artwork
"The Exchange" captures a moment of interaction, where shapes meet, respond, and move together as if in conversation. Built through a process of intuition and response, each form finds its place within the rhythm of the composition. Layers of color and bold outlines bring structure and balance, creating a sense of motion and harmony between form and space. Within the composition, abstract figures emerge and intertwine, creating a sense of dialogue… and connection.
The artwork is painted on high-quality Italian cotton canvas and will be shipped un-stretched, with a 6 cm border left for stretching. The composition extends to the very edges of the canvas, allowing the sides to be painted once it's mounted on a frame. It will be carefully rolled and shipped in a tube for safe international delivery and can be easily and affordably stretched at your local framing store.
Samantha Malone is a contemporary abstract artist originally from Australia's beautiful east coast, currently residing in Tel Aviv, Israel with her family. She is a self-taught visual artist working in mixed media abstraction. Her artistic style is rooted in geometric abstraction with hints of cubist-inspired forms. She works by layering mediums and structured mark-making, which she combines methodically yet intuitively. Her art provokes sensations of unity and emotional flux, ultimately inviting viewers to find themselves in her abstract creations.
"I love abstract painting. It’s where I find the most joy and freedom. It’s my way of expressing my emotions and thoughts, turning shapes, colors, and layers into something meaningful. It’s both an escape and a way to make sense of the world, bringing clarity and a deep sense of fulfillment."
