About this artwork
In this work, a breath passes through the canvas like a vibration that comes from elsewhere.
Fleeting shapes, fluid curves, bursts of light… everything seems to be in motion, observing, as if a silent presence cohabited with us in the invisible.
I worked solely on instinct, letting my gestures channel what my words could not express.
Some traces seem to glide, others appear as imprints left by beings from another plane, curious, benevolent, discreet……
The palette is dominated by deep blues and touches of gold, symbols of openness to mystery, to cosmic connection, to the part of ourselves that perceives beyond the visible.
This work invites us to feel rather than to understand.
It makes you wonder: what if we're not alone, really?

Sangie is an emerging French artist whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions internationally, including Miami Art Basel. Growing up with a painter grandfather, she was inspired to create art and developed her style in Abstract Expressionism. Her background as a dancer informs her artistic practice and she channels the same energy and gestures to play with light, color and movement on canvas.
