About this artwork
"Today, you are where you need to be. Tomorrow, you will be where your actions have led you. It is up to you to lead the way and give you the means to achieve your ambitions. Tomorrow is yours."
Sangie works here in transparency, mixing the strength of red and black with the lightness of light tones and white. She was inspired by the film "Inception" where different levels of reality coexist within dreams and the film "2012" by Roland Emmerich.…
At a time when the theory of collapse (collapsology) has conquered an increasingly large audience, Sangie wishes to emphasize the fact that, whatever happens, what will largely make the difference is our ability to resilience.
Our path thus takes shape on the canvas with its meanders and its discontinuities, but full of hope and dynamism.
« I hope my paitings will help you open the door to a world where colors and brush strokes speak louder than words. »
Sangie is an emerging French artist whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions internationally, including Miami Art Basel. Growing up with a painter grandfather, she was inspired to create art and developed her style in Abstract Expressionism. Her background as a dancer informs her artistic practice and she channels the same energy and gestures to play with light, color and movement on canvas.
