About this artwork
Creation from Chaos immediately captures you: fragility explodes and becomes a creative gesture.
This work transforms metal-leaf-coated chicken eggs from symbols of delicacy to true protagonists of the pictorial act. The shells, broken and scattered across the canvas, release color like pure energy—a birth born from destruction. The explosion of color and the sheen of gold contrast with the raw material of the fragments, creating a visual tension… that dramatizes the conflict between order and chaos.
No longer mere supports: the eggs become actors, instruments of metamorphosis that reveal the creative potential inherent in disruption. With this gesture, the artist redefines conventions, proposing an innovative use of materials and a reflection on the origins of the creative act and the renewal of forms. Creation from Chaos is thus a sensorial and conceptual experience that challenges the gaze and renews the language of contemporary painting.
Santicri, born in Macerata and trained as a surveyor and architect, now works full-time as a sculptor, with forays into painting and digital art. He uses mixed media, modeling, and material manipulation in a style that blends architectural rigor with instinctive gesture, alternating smooth and rough textures to give his works the impression of movement. His creations evoke powerful emotional tension, inviting the viewer to reflect on freedom, transformation, and the dialogue between matter and dream.
