This monoprint engraving aims to express an inner journey, where the cold colors and textures evoke sensations of research and mystery. The shaded watercolor alternates with the defined gravure, creating contrasts of palpable emotions. It is an invitation to contemplate, get lost and find yourself. This work will bring a touch of contemplative introspection and refined complexity to your home because it will leave you space to reread it every day… as if it were new.
Sara Montani interweaves memory and present in her creations, using multiple techniques—painting, engraving, and graphic design. She has created numerous publications, art portfolios, and artist's books with poets and writers. She says of herself: "I enjoy presenting works in different languages, which amaze the viewer precisely because of their diversity. I am pleased to showcase my research in a space where my "feeling" is expressed with all its creative power, to "say" what I think, in the language I feel is most suited to the purpose. To the untrained eye, my work may appear superficial experimentation, but that's not the case. There's a subtle thread running through my work, which is best seen in my solo exhibitions, where the use of multiple languages defines my writing becomes clear. And I really like that."
